Persuasive writing and UOI research

This week the class has been busy unpacking persuasive writing. Looking at the language in persuasive writing - verbs, adverbs and statement of claim.

They have also been investigating their market day product. Each group had to create a series of questions (survey) about their product. They then interviewed the other two grade 4 classes about their product.

They took the results from the survey and used to tweak their products or even start over again.

It was a good way for them to find out if there was a demand for their product before they spent time making it. Some groups found that everyone was making stress ball meaning there was going to be an over-demand (glut) for that product.

Something that businesses do in real life to see if it is worth launching a product onto the market.
