Filed Trip - Sokha Hotel

Today the G4 children were really lucky and got to look around the 5Star Sokha Hotel.

We visited the hotel as part of our UOI - How we organise ourselves. The students inquired further into our central idea  “Markets exist in order to fulfill the needs and wants of a community”

  • To inquire into how Sokha Hotel operates in response to supply and demand.
  • Marketing of their services
  • Apply knowledge gained to their own market day situation


We inquired into goods and services at Sokha Hotel. We have been exploring marketplace looking a lot a the selling goods. Today we considered marketplace as selling a service. We looked into the hospitality industry - service industry. 

It was a long bus trip out to Sokha Hotel but it was great to get a look behind the scenes. When you stay at hotels you don't consider the amount of various teams that work behind these closed doors. It was great to tour around the hotel and see behind those closed doors. 

Sokha Hotel is a very large hotel with about 700 rooms of varying sizes and over 800 staff that work at the hotel to cater to everyones needs.
