Today we held our annual YAPP sports day where schools from the district came and competed in a variety of events.The PE department did a wonderful job in organising such a great day.
Some 600 children competed in vortex throw, sack races, tug of war, sprints, hurdles, high jump, shot put, chicken throw (not a real chicken) and long jump.
It was a scorcher of a day but the children and staff survived being out in the sun for most of the day.
Returning to class after lunch the children were happy to be out of the sun and in an airconditioned room.
It didn't mean they were keen to do any work thou.
Lucky for our class we had swimming and it was a great relief for them to have a swim at the end of the day.
