Today saw the start of book week at ISPP and the arrival of author Bernard Caleo an Australian author and illustrator.He impressed us with his energy, artistic flair, and storytelling skills. We began to learn about the art of Kamishibai (Kah-mee-she-bye), which is a form of storytelling that originated in Japan.
The stories are told with large illustrated cards.
The Grade 4 children were very lucky and after our session with Bernad were able to ask him a few questions before he disappeared over to secondary.
