Phnom Chisor Field Trip

On Friday all the Grade 4 children boarded 3 buses and headed out of Phnom Penh to visit Phnom Chisor a Buddhist temple on top of a mountain that pre-dates Angkor Wat in Sem Reap.









         
The 90minute bus trip was relaxing but the toilet stop at the end was not very inviting but when you have to go you have to go.












The 800 + step climb up the mountain to the temple at the top was exhausting but the view was amazing.


It was a great experience and lovely hearing all the children talk about their experience on the way back to school. The cold drink that Mr Simon brought us all at the top was very refreshing.

Grade 10 personal projects

On Thursday the G4 children got the opportunity to visit the Grade 10 personal projects.



It was a great opportunity for the children to see what will be expected of them when they are Grade 10 students.







The projects were amazing with some really outstanding learning taking place.

Chocolate Brownie

On the first day back after the holiday's we were lucky enough to have Joshua's mother bring in a plate of brownies to celebrate his birthday.



The brownies were delicious and the class really appreciated them.

Welcome 2016

Welcome back to everyone and we hope you all had a refreshing break.

The class has come back one less with Hyein relocating back to Korea. We wish her all the best.


As you can see in the photo we have a very small but vibrant class.






The class has got straight back into routine and working really hard on our new UOI - Who we are belief system. Our central idea is "Understanding our own and other people's beliefs and values help us respect each other".

Stop Ball Championship

On the last day of the semester before we all headed off on holiday the G4 classes held their first stop ball championship.




Jed in Ms Alison's class organised the draw and kept score.


It was a close competition with the final game between Mr Simon's and Ms Alison's class.

It came right down to the wire with Ms Alison's class winning by one run with only one life remaining.



Thanks for a great way to finish the term

Farewell Hyein

Today we farewelled Hyein who will be returning to Korea to live with her mother.


We wish her all the best in the next chapter in her life.










The school also farewelled several students and nurse Alison who are leaving Cambodia for good.
